I like the response of Fran in this chapter (especially her comment about cannot depending on the king for any help; and her straightforward attitude about the possible sex life between her and Marie). It might seem too simplistic and not too refined, but it is really the best solution.

I read to the latest chapter 14, and actually kind of skip the early chapters, so I might be bias. But like, the encounter between Fran and Louis - if they are intended as the end couple - was not very... sparkly. Not like how Louis and M locked eyes, and talked, and said good bye.
