ho ho seem like someone not one gonna get sleep deprive tonight @littlegrey the rest probably belong to servants. but yeah, excessive.
also this is first time she come here maybe it just a mini party?
@littlegrey What's even worse is that in most other stories it's just glossed over, but at least in this story Adele made a comment about it. It was a thought bubble, but still she thought "Of course the table is filled..." and to me that made it seem like the author is aware of how ridiculous it is. At the very least, the story itself is a bit self aware sometimes.
With that said, in this particular situation it's likely because the Duke wants Adele to eat well. After hearing about what she said regarding her eating habits, he was all "Ah hell nah. Ain't havin' none of that shit. Butler! Prepare a feast!" and intended to fatten her up a bit.
Now I feel so sorry for Hexion... He probably screams in agony at night because his body is turning into stone. :'(
I hope Adele is able to cure him in the near future.
Also, was I the only one who found it suspecious they praised Orlando so much? Like the author want us to like him and tear our hearts apart when it's revealed he's a traitor sent by the king to spy on Hexion?
Traditionally the kings table would be brimming because the leftovers were given to the staff after he got what he wanted. Nothing went to waste, and the servants got to eat rather well too. 👍
