Yeah. He is too competent to a fault. But he admitted himself that human is indeed weird. Let's hope it would be satisfactory when the reveal happened

My best guess is the humans simply outsmarted him, something like isolating him from his army, pulled every dirty tricks they could, and probably even exploited the fact he can't use magic.

Or they have cheat skills from the gods.Nah this story doesn't look like to go that direction.

I'm really curious to see because with the end of what will be volume 4 just coming out a few weeks back, the series is in a decent position to have a 1-cour adaptation show up. I agree that CGI probably wouldn't work for the monsters and such in this series (and I'm actually pretty forgiving of CGI in anime), though, and 1-cour stuff tends to be lower budget, so maybe that would be a monkey's paw...

I'm really unsure. It doesn't do great in rankings on the app (though it also doesn't do terribly), and feels like it misses a lot of the promotional effort that other series get, but from what I've seen, it sells pretty darned well for a MangaOne series, so kind of a "sleeper" hit. Maybe? There are others who are not me that are a lot more knowledgeable when it comes to those sorts of things. At the very least, I think it's safely avoided any sort of early cancellation at this point, but when it comes to anime adaptations, who knows.
