It's actually the opposite, this guy and the Demon King conquered then buried some country that opposed them, so this guy is here guarding the hidden ruins.

interesting trap setup, just randomly having a tentacle slime inside a hole (even though there are sharp spikes underneath it too) and finally the dungeon boss shows up, one of the Four Heavenly Kings under the Demon King. I’m pretty sure MC can beat it, though his party might end up getting seriously injured

Unless its only in my end, how come nobody mentioned how page 14 is messed up? that's why i don't like upscaler or similar (specially theses days with gen"ai")

I would also like to take this opportunity to ask for the begging unrelated end illustration to be shrunk to be of a similar size to the rest of the manga pages (its not a problem unique to this series), when reading in double page mode it usually dwarfs the last page of the manga.
