What's an AD-Manga?
Something planned all along to be written for several chapters to draw interest to the story and then terminated so that you have to buy the LN for more story.

Some anime are produced for a season or two and then not continued to attract attention to the LN or manga.

Most US cartoons in the past were basically ads for toys.

And.... Once again a new entry for my plan to read list. At this point I'm too scared to look how much entrys there are. By this one looks like fun to read. On the other hand many mangas stop being translated or take years to be completed. Let's see how it goes.

I know people were getting mad at the whole slave thing, but this chapter honestly dispelled any real notion of this being some pseudo slave fetish manga. She is completely liberated and he made that clear to her, so she has complete agency over her life and he has not control over (nor does he act in any controlling manner towards her). Nor does she act like she will be his slave anyway. For all intents and purposes, they are just teaming up here. Of course, idk what happens in later chapters, so this might change.

But it seems like the whole slave thing was clickbait lol (I'll admit that I fell for it because of impure reasons).

E.g.

Night Wizard
Mahou Sensou ( Magical Warfare )
Campione!
Kaze no Stigma ( well the author died 2y after the anime adaptation, probably depression + stress )
Every anime that has a red-haired girl with ponytail or twin tails as a FL.

Wait for 2y and check if this is an AD-manga. This one is smelly as an AD.

Isn't this plot similar to that one with the archmage guy who saves an elf slave? I forgot what it's called..

Ok, I have the slight suspicion that guild girl sent him there to die.

I thinks she's dense and/or overly confident in MC (who tbf it an S class Paladin. Kinda OP for a demon land). I have no doubt that this was a suicide mission setup for undesirables, but she doesn't seem to have intel on why other farmers failed outside of "monsters". If MC doesn't know from the post, she wouldn't know much more either.

Lotta rambling when I could just say: people here are dumb AF lmao. including MC to a degree.

Being kicked out of your previous party is a common start for fantasy manga that doesn't want to have an outright isekai. I think it's fuelled by MMORPG players of support classes who feel underappreciated. As a player who usually plays tanks, I perfectly understand this trend.

As for the overall plot, I've seen a few manga about cultivating new land, but none seem quite like this. We'll have to wait for a few more chapters to see the overall shape of the plot.

Night Wizard is special. Because original "Night Wizard" is not a novel, and not a manga. It is a tabletop roleplaying game system, similar to Dungeons and Dragons. Well, not really similar, because they're quite far apart on the evolutionary tree of roleplaying game systems. But my point is, it doesn't have a fixed plot.

Personally, I like it this way. Much better than a paladin who owns slaves.

This feels like a mix of the common kicked out of party but is either secretly op or somehow gets op RIGHT after getting kicked out, and the less common (from my personal experience), I randomly get the ability to summon women AND the hidden op farmer trope

Found what I was talking about, and now I'm realizing there's literally no similarities between the two, him having an elf slave just reminded me of this story
