Let me guess—the quest will fail because MC's gone, and the so-called 'Hero' will point fingers at everyone but himself.

Thanks for the chapter!
Just like "A Rank Party wo Ridatsu Shita Ore wa, Moto Oshiego Tachi to Meikyuu Shinbu wo Mezasu" and "I’m Glad They Kicked Me From The Hero’s Party... But Why’re you following me, Great Saintess?"

I know why the author did it, since he wanted some drama out of it, but it's wild that the receptionist would just be like "someone's here that wants to join... it's a woman..." instead of just being like "yeah, it's Ellie, is that fine?"

It's not like she doesn't know who Ellie is, she knows both of them well enough to know Ellie had a thing for him, so it's pretty goofy that she'd just gloss over that fact just so the author could get some miscommunications in.

Don't people in this story know how to communicate? Instead of saying "I've rescued a girl and she doesn't have proper clothing. Can you send me some?" he just "nah. Let keep this shit secret". For what?

Instead of saying "Your big tiddy mage knew about your situation and wanted to help" she just went with "A girl want to help you. Do you want to send her there?". Again. For what?

And why did he want to keep the existence of the elf a secret? Doesn't he think that having a girl coming here will help that elf girl with various inconvenient that guy can't? This makes no sense.

You know the author sucks at writing when they keep omitting crucial information from the conversation for the sake of mystery and cheap drama.

For what he said and didn’t say I agree, he was being an absolute moron.

For the Guild lady I did question this. I wonder if she didn’t say it was Ellie because she didn’t want his decision to be swayed by that information. Or she didn’t say it so that if he agreed and Ellie ended up going through the portal he would be super surprised. Or Ellie asked her to not say anything so that his decision wouldn’t be swayed to just refuse easily, thinking she had a higher chance of him agreeing if he wasn’t aware before she arrived.

Hmmm, I'm gonna make a bold prediction. This Ellie girl and the shitty guy's (whatever his name is) new party will fail because the MC's not there anymore. Then, the shitty guy will blame everyone except himself and this Ellie girl will point out what wrong with him, he gets mad, do something to her, make her a slave and the MC's gonna MIRACULOUSLY save her and free her from slavery.

AND THEY LIVE HAPPILY EVER AFTER.

THE FUCKING END
goddamn, is this the authors alt account

Oh hey, I found an elven slave the demons had been keeping here and freed her, can I get some stuff for her?
Instead he's acting like a shy teenager trying to keep a secret, this trope is honestly boring as shit at this point.
Its not entirely because he has an elf companion in a complete barren and unfertile land where no other person should be living, nor about the skill that summoned the elf slave without any preparations or conditions and he has to explain how he suddenly has food in a place where no food could have been grown because of the summoned randomly shaman of a slave elf girl that the we know nothing of the owner, nope, nothing to do with that.

Oh look it's the trashy leader who's going to fail because he kicked mc. I sure wish childhood friend girl can join the harem soon and not drag this on for so many chapters as usual.

"Hi yes I saved a lost elf in the devil land, she's joining the party. Send clothes, preferably a burqa, to protect my virgin eyes pls."

In the world of endless tropes in which he lives, the guild lady would do a spit take, have a brief lewd fantasy while saying AWAWAWAWA, and then move on like nothing happened.

I'm hoping that Ellie says screw it and just goes anyway. She can definitely help and the elf won't get used to being to new people if she is in a position where she can't meet new people

It does not have to be the whole truth. Keep the slave part a secret. It might be dangerous information though since freeing slaves can lead to diplomatic incident. Also the ones who enslaved her might still be looking for her and likely they hold strong influence and might found out through whatever means. It is even possible freeing slaves is illegal especially criminal slaves.

He have keep his skill a secret until he could defend himself. More time means he could setup up more defense. He will surely free some more and the so called masters might begin to investigate. If he told her and the info got leaked then they have a lead to their investigation.

When she said there is a city he could follow up by saying he has a woman guest and for some reason or another her clothes got wrecked and going to city is not feasible since he have no money.

nah, based on the WN, the hero want to have his way with this Ellie
but the hero is so pathetic that Ellie can solo and freeze him without much effort, and then she hurriedly go to the MC since she know the competition is hard with multiple girls that keep coming to his side so she want to assert her position ASAP

the main problem for Ellie is not reaching the MC location, but she need a reason to go to the MC location since the MC didnt request any new personnel to the guild
