I appreciate that the author decided to have the MC not be able to read or write the other world's language, but I kind of wish the author would've done the same for the spoken language, too. On that note, I also appreciate that the author also had the MC not know English very well at all, and even explained it by mentioning he ended school in 6th grade, which explains perfectly well why he wouldn't be so good in English.
