Wait oh my god I just have a super random theory, what if Aki is Kitajima-sensei? I don't think we ever heard Kitajima-sensei's first name and Aki's last name.

Both Subaru and Aki are the only two who have no idea what is free school, we know in Subaru's case is because he is from 80s, maybe Aki is also from around that year.

Kitajima-sensei and Aki both have also give black tea to Kokoro. They are both from Yukishina 5th middle school.

Damn, Rion backstory is fucking harsh, leukemia or cancer dying family member is insane to get by, especially seeing as they withering away like that throughout years and can do nothing about it.

Aki being who she is is scattered throughout the story, with the "seven goats" being the foreground it's hard to miss, but now it's coming together.
