i realise this story is focused on MC and his imagination, but why would they leave for their world instantly. nothing in "this" world has been resolved, unless the circular strike in the last chapter killed of every monster. the base is likely gone, the future for the survivors unknown, and still we're just gonna skip all of that?

It's very simple really. It's. Not. There. Problem. Cid has never cared about that world or his current one but at least in the current world he has friends who are willing to play with him (his mindset).

you're misunderstanding , akane's brother (glasses guy) was the cause, not her husband (no glasses), she got revenge on akane's brother already (by killing him) but she also wants revenge on akane since she was the one who personally killed her husband (though unwittingly)


I think the implication is that since Shadow killed so many (way more than Akane ever did), Japan is fine for now - or at least can manage with their other knights.
And Akane's power is unstable so it might be more risky to leave her there.


Shadow and Beta have a cult to defeat in their world , it's not their job to deal with things in Japan

I'm betting we'll get back to Japan later , since the connection between the worlds, and 'awakening' is clearly similar.

On your final point. So the Demon Lord the cult summoned was one from another world summoned via Black Rose and upon getting sucked into said portal Cid and Beta ended up in Japan. In Japan, there is mention of a powerful monster that kills other monsters that we never see despite being mentioned multiple times and Cid even being confused for it at one point. It is safe to assume the Demon Lord Cid killed so easily was the variant monster meaning Earth is safer now ironically thanks to the cult. While it's POSSIBLE they may go back (Akane may even return in full control of her powers and stronger than when she left) it's not something i'd be willing to put money on.

Web novel was discontinued for LN because there were too many loose ends the author didn't wanna deal with.

Sounds fair to me LN's tend to stray from WN (as they should otherwise who would buy the LN) anyway.

What the hell is even happening in this manga

After reading this first time, my only problem is the fact that this entire manga was written as if it was a harem...yet it's not. Pick a side author, either have the mc do romantic stuff or have male characters too

A few points that may have been missed, but while Cid was there he went around on nightly raids wiping out entire nests cause he was bored. Not really stated, but its implied that the final giant stampede was because it was a do or die moment for the monsters cause of all the super murder Cid was enacting on them. So while JP lost its largest base and the first knight, they also gained a ton of breathing room cause Cid wiped out all major threats that they couldn't handle before.

Another thing, Akane going berserk was similar to possession which Cid actually cured at that moment. It hasn't happened yet but its also implied that she will undergo training with Shadow Garden to become even stronger than her first knight mode.
