Install totally new clergy not under the cult's control. The common people won't really care, as long as there's peace and stability.

Claire is surprisingly similar to Cid. She must be the one most similar to him out of everyone else. Truly brother and sister.

On the surface yeah, but I don't think they're really that similar tbh. Cid being chuuni is cringe because they're making things up to look cool, but in her case she's not trying to be chuuni, it's the thing that's actually going on. Less of a joke about them being the same/sharing the same braincell, more of a joke about her being in the situation Cid desperately wants to be in.

Once this is all over, if Claire gets separated from Aurora or something, she's probably just gonna go back to being an overprotective brocon and lose the chuuni aspect, because it wasn't something she's actually aiming for.

I genuinely had this same thought while reading this series and I wouldn't be surprised if that's the case. He started attacking bad guys he found and fabricating this elaborate plot -- which is somehow true? He just happens to hit it on the nose every single time? I feel like on some level he has to be affecting reality.
