Dear God what has she done?! She doesn’t know how badly she fucked up yet does she? Cid is not only living with her, but sleeping in the same room as her? Imagine what will happen if word of this got out, how Shadow Garden will react, how Alexia will react, hell what if his sister finds out?

On a lighter note, glad Cid is having fun dressing up like a clown this Halloween, he even got the IT balloon down to a T! To everyone wondering if it’s Cid, yeah it’s him, he was playing with cards at the bar with Alpha in the beginning of the arc, it’s obvious he was preparing for this. What I don’t think he took into account was what would happen when he got personally involved as his mob self. Because now he’s stuck here without a choice, granted he’s probably gonna rob them blind but still.

And then there’s Christina, good god I think we found the perfect woman for Cid, she’s crazy like some of the other zealots in his organization, but she’s also pure unlike a lot of them, she isn’t devoted to him yet, but she’s still innocent to the world. She’s being corrupted though, to the point she might just become a serial killer in the future, that is if she doesn’t join either Shadow Garden or Zeta’a spin off sect.

Then there’s Alexia… wow she’s just like Cid when it comes to just stumbling into things, except unlike him she’s an active participant who often times gets left in the dust. Though it’s nice to know she does enjoy reading Beta’s plagiarized works. At least she isn’t completely stubborn, just mostly stubborn, a true tsundere right down to her core.

am i the onyl one that's completely lost?, it doesn't help that releases sometimes lag a lot but i'm super lost on all the politics and whatnot and the world crossing that made no sense and everything.
I’d suggest just re-reading the previous arcs to understand the story. A lot of what happens tends to happen in the background where our main protagonist doesn’t care to look.

There are two ways to read the series, either from Cid’s perspective of just rolling with the punches and having fun without paying much attention to the world affairs. Or from Shadow Garden’s perspective where every action has a reaction that slowly builds up to a finale that causes the next arc to happen.

Hell we just had Shadow Garden split off into two separate splinter groups which will inevitably clash, but that isn’t in focus so it’s easy to miss. It doesn’t help that a lot of the story is being condensed or left out of the manga, the light novel/web novel has a lot more that isn’t being shown here. So don’t feel too bad about being lost, it’s kind of a part of the series at this point…

Hell some of the story is even being told through the mobile game that has a lot of the backstories and histories of the world and characters in it. It’s all written by the author of the series so it’s all canon and might be important later. But who knows?

I really hope shadow stops roleplaying and takes things seriously at some point, at this point he's just being an asshole to people around him who care about him

You do know that is the entire premise right?
For him to be an asshole to everyone around him? No, I didn't realize that. In fact in the early chapters he himself seems to realize that people do get tired of playing around with what he thinks of as his childish delusions. Maybe if someone he cares about actually dies or something he'll wake up. He's become the eminence in the shadows he's always wanted to be, now he should start acting like one. There is this thing called character development, and Cid hasn't had any.

The premise is that cid is incapable of realizing that it's not just a childish delusion.
