Is this a death match? I'm not sure how their shield artifact actually works. It's a private fighting arena, in a world with magic. But at the same time, the artifact has to actually be turned on. So conceivably, it's not actually linked to life signs in the arena? The Meat Grinder Butcher, was tossed like he was nothing into the shield. But the manga doesn't show his body being taken out or anything. Jack the Ripper could conceivably just run past everyone into their "entrance" and exit the shield region at a different point.
