This is far, so very far, from the only isekai manga with loads of chuuni cringe. But this one leans into it heavily, with arms outstretched. It's practically made out of the cringiest 8th grade syndrome possible, and owns it completely. Hells, that's its basic premise.

@serena_c Chūnibyō (中二病) means '8th grade syndrome'. Literally, it's 'middle-second syndrome', referring to that grade. Pretty much every 13 year old wants to stand out, to be powerful, popular, and cool, and something is called chuuni when it's taken to the extreme. Typical features are pretending that you have a dark and secret past, hidden powers (that you can barely keep contained), special knowledge, et cetera. It also refers to media that plays on this trope, either targeting a middle-school audience directly, or appealing to the power fantasies of the middle-schooler in all of us.
