So, their way of testing an insomniac below average guy that is scared shitless and never so much as wrestled a flower is to have the LEADER beat the shit out of him. Cuz that test will have any relevance what so ever. I think the author attempted to want that bitch to beat him half-to-death to scare him from not wanting to be a shinobi, but it just comes off as retarded and forced.

As for the MC himself... I can understand the mentality of wanting to get stronger, but it is so far out of line with his character it doesn't make sense. Just literally hours before this happened, he was too afraid to even do a simple get to together with his friends because he was afraid of the dark. Now, he, without even thinking about it, wants to team up with the people that JUST tried to kill him? Lol, okay.

Ai, Imma give it about 10-15 chapters before I decide what I want to do with this manga.

@halloween20 That is a very nice interpretation of what happened and i do think too is correct, but even so with this interpretation i still feel that the execution wasn't good, it gets a little worst for me because the personalities of the characters are... just so... cliche.

I will continue to give this a chance but if it doesn't improve in a way i could approve i will stop reading, no one would gain with me here just to comment that i don't like this.

Anyway, I already have a manga with a similar idea of supernatural where the characters personalities are done the way i like.

@halloween20 Jujutsu Kaisen, very good it has room for growth but the characters already are amazing the story isn't bad either, i could say it is very cliche but the execution until know in very good.

After i wrote the comment it came to my mind that chainsaw man is very good in the character department too, MC very unusual and funny story.
