It was tsukkomi, wasn't it? It doesn't really translate properly since Japan's concept of comedy is so warped.
Calling it "snark" just sounds off.

... Anyway, I think I stopped counting once I went over 40 because I carried on to the next page and kept criticising the suggested tsukkomi for being nonsensical... and then came back here to complain some more about the translation.
