Great manga and I think a successor for Toradora minus the dramas

Well... Not gonna lie, these last 50 or so chapters were cringeworthy as fuck. I'm not sad, just disappointed. Akasaka just turned his beautiful realistic (almost) romance manga into some kind of stupid shounen. The last few chapters were very nice to read, because all the characters definitely deserve a gold ending, but the aftertaste of all the cringe just didn't let me enjoy it as much as I could've.

In conclusion, this is the best romcom to ever exist. The characters, the story, the themes it brings up. I wouldn't be lying if I said this manga guided me through my own teenagehood more then any other piece of media (Except Mushoku Tensei, but that is unreachable level). Unfortunately, as it often happens, the ending didn't live up to the rest of the manga. But I encourage y'all to not forget the truly masterpiece quality of the rest of the story, even if the last act was not the same quality.

9/10, because the ending is important. I wish I could give it 10/10, because everything before the ending definitely deserves it.

A perfectly imperfect manga. Like, seriously, the second HALF of the manga is convoluted as all hell, leaving tons of plot lines unresolved and the drop in quality was noticable

Fuck this manga. But I still loved every moment of it, especially the student council's journey together, and that FUCKING AMAZING ending. Also, I massively respect the author for making 281 chapters of romcom without using single a panty shot.

I would absolutely recommand this manga to anyone looking for a solid rom com.
The main duo is really good, but what really set this apart from the competition is the great cast of secondary characters, a lot of them being given proper attention and developpement (a rare sight in rom coms).

Overall i really enjoyed discovering this vibrant work, and was a bit saddened when it came to an end.

A must-read in the genre !

i wasn't aware the anime isn't going to adapt so many chapters, I was waiting for the anime adaptation to end before i watched all the seasons. Sad.

Yeah there's no news of the anime getting any more seasons, and the last one ended a while ago. It's really weird honestly with how loved this series is, it feels like they'd WANT to milk it for all its worth.

yea that is weird, i was thinking maybe the ending was trash like 'oshi no ko' so maybe they didnt wanna adapt the entire thing but reading comments the ending isn't hated for this series.. i still have to finish reading this, oh well.

Absolute PEAK. Peak characters (main as well as side characters), peak story, peak comedy, peak everything. The last arc is cool as well (a bit cringy but come on it's Love is War, the amount of cringe by reading it is insane, BUT it is sooo fun and cool that I can't even complain), and the ending is just, 10/10. This manga has reserved a special place in my heart

Maybe it's an issue with me, but does anyone who doesn't enjoy slice of life enjoy this one?
I understand the dynamic of "I can't confess, as that'd be losing" paired with "I can't back down, as that'd be losing"
I just find it hard to engage with, a lot of aimless text and back-and-forths

Maybe I find it hard as slice of life rarely has a lot of character growth, you could read it backwards and you'd know what the characters cared for, there's little guessing, little growth
I might come back to this and read it, but I read a few, and wasn't really engaged

I do want to hear if there's some better way to enjoy it, as I feel I'm missing something

I find slice of life boring too. But I love this manga so much. I think the problem is, you're taking the early parts too seriously. They're an introduction to the characters that focus on the comedic aspect. Despite that, there is genuine character development and continuity. These early chapters will influence the characters and their interactions in the second, more serious, less slice of life-y half of the story and I believe it does it really well.

TLDR; read it for the jokes at first, and if you don't find them funny then this manga isn't for you I suppose.
