@iDeSml Yes there's no doubt that their scanlations are of high quality. However, no matter how insignificant, I refuse to contribute traffic to their site because JB is a group who refuses to drop a series (Bokuben) even if there is already an official english translation anyone can read for free. They would also shamelessly paint themselves as the good guys and somehow blame mangadex as to why they left.

But yea, anyway this isn't the place to talk about JB. I'm just glad that I won't have to wait to buy the volume release before I can read this. (Though I would still buy it because it's a fun manga to reread from time to time).

@contrast123 @fortnog if only it were as simple as them just leaving. They had a bunch of people go on smear campaigns against MD on here and various websites. Then they whipped up a handful of other translators to leave with them.

The running theory for why they left is they always saw MD as a threat to their profits/ traffic and decided they wanted more. The admin here made a comment about how it'd be pipe dream to someday take MD legit, and JB took that as their opportunity to try and get everyone to join them in an exodus. Kind of silly since MD is pretty much the only manga aggregate that tries really hard to work with translators and accommodate them instead of just plain stealing everything.

@IgnitedSpade my best guess is that their endgame was to crash MD and get all the traffic and translators to go to their website. But that obviously hasn't happened.
