The Ishigami x Iino ship tease on the chapter was well written (and sometimes was just shown, like when Fujiwara hug our boy, you can see Iino looking away). I still don't like the couple, and I'm a bit sad that Ishigame felt so easily for the "Fake confession who's actually real but the girl didn't realised her own feeling", but, hey, he always had trouble dealing with feelings, so I'll let it pass.
AND DAMN SON, THAT FLASHBACK. I really, REALLY like to see more of Prez background. We saw a lot of the shitty family of Kaguya, I think it's nice to see the problems with Shirogane's one. Also, please, Kaguya, give the poor boy a hug. (also also, Fujimom is now canon).
And the whole thing awakened the "sadist with my lover" side of Kaguya. I swear to god those two will have some pretty intense roleplay.

No people who walk out on their family look good, and a lot of them are shits, but some are just people in doomed situations who claw their way out.

That mom had a freaking cold face; it could relate to Shirogane's fear of Kaguya's "how cute" face.

My guess is she never loved the dad in the first place and when they hit financial straits, she bailed. (There was a reference to something like that way back.) Their comically deadpan dad probably has a lot of rage buried deep in him.
