ok the mangaka was intentional with the visual designs of her sweather. Mans made the shake your head to see the character moving effect lol

Holy fuck pg. 10 and the design of her shirt multiplied by that amazing effect literally made me feel like I was looking at a visual illusion. I had to stare for a few minutes before I realized the room was spinning

There's something refreshing about how this manga consistently surprising us with the characters' hidden depths beneath their archetypal roles. The hero is uprighteous yet is relatably self-aware of his own shortcomings. The monster's monstrosity is not just done for the evilulz but was borne of its naivete of humanity. The comedic interplay between his parents master and slave roles (self-imposed? Maybe masochistic even on the father's part? Which is hilarious to think about especially considering him being the previous hero-bearer) is grounded by the mom's pragmatic authority and the dad's keen insights.

What's the next surprise sensei? Would be wild if like Dan our favorite punching bag that we always love to trash somehow turned out to be the legit worthy next hero.
