So I decided to MTL read the novel a bit.

Atleast one of the previous generation 4 kings is still alive, flame one . Two aren't mentioned yet in what i've read, and one was confirmed violently killed, but no mention if a replacement before this new group.

As for this new group... Blonde wind king is very vain, cares little other than for her beauty.
Fire is so narcissistic , vain and overprideful, he would make narcissists around the world feel ashamed for him.
Water has realized the situation and is trying to change their self.
Earth actually had common sense and wanted to prevent Dariel from being fired, but was outvoted by the numbnuts.
Previous hero is also still alive, although both he and fire king are both wounded and recuperating from fighting eachother.

Frankly, spoiled fire is doing a better job of destroying the demon king army than any hero ever did alone.

@Robbini that happens when you only go for "perfection" which means there is only 1 set of views and no unique ideas while being an environment of fear and betrayal. You don't want to fall outside the view of perfect and to insure your employment you will betray your comrades. Which means they will also abandon their post to put time into surveillance and detective work to scrounge up dirt on their comrades. Real shitty environment for work that will lead to high employee turn over, failure in projects and eventually in its entirety as a group. A company that rewards hard work, dedication and those who seek to improve and learn more while compensating them accordingly. The company cannot make employees compete against each other in a way that would not be friendly for example, if there was a chance to lose your job, be demoted, chance for promotion, large bonus or large increase in salary. Even though you are managing adults, if we use similar ideas that we use to manage and teach children, but for adults you do get some great results, but try to keep it as professional and adult as possible because nobody likes to be belittled unless its in some sort of fetish thing
