I'm really not a fan of the "slow-witted MC" trope; nor the constant "misunderstandings" that come with it. Every time Melcia gives off that "Grrr" vibe, Isagi misunderstands😐. Ex1) Because they didn't get to sit on the same golem, she gave that vibe in her disappointment. His delusions went to - Melcia really doesn't like the golem's appearance. Ex2) She got annoyed when their alone time washing dishes was interrupted. His delusions went to - she has a lot of hate for doing dishes. Here's the problem: if my thoughts about a person were always along the lines of "this tiny issue is really causing her a lot of internal strife," how would I view the kind of person she is? I would think they're super petty and they get annoyed over the tiniest of things far too easily. I definitely wouldn't wanna be around someone like that! Who would😥?! His weird inner thoughts don't match how he views her as an individual. Per the story, ofc he doesn't think badly of her. She's not thinking even remotely what he's thinking anyway, so it would be weird if he disliked her. That's why they gotta stop this "misunderstanding" bullshit. The logics don't match! It's now a plothole! So, ytf add it to begin with😮💨?! Ffs, don't complicate the story just to add an unnecessary (and ridiculous) trope😅!
