They are accepting of their daughter's attire, or at least Hanku doesn't seem to be concerned about showing up the way she does, so at the very least they are not that much of a threat. Besides, Amata is just a girl in a fancy dress unless revealed to them as a guy, and Amata and Hanku are just friends to all parties involved

Yeah, I think the fact Aki didn't warn Kanata of any issues would imply things will go all right.

If the parents weren't accepting I'd assume Aki wouldnt have even given the invite to start with(she wouldn't put Kanata in that kind of awkward/scary position) or at least would have given a warning on not revealing that Kanata is a male wearing feminine clothing to the parents.

But with how relaxed Aki is the parents are probably pretty chill. I am expecting a pretty wholesome family meeting.

Plus to meta-story a little, with how Kanata's father seems to be based on that panel flashback, it might be a little too much to have both familys not accepting of the lifestyles. We need at least one family to make things feel warm and fuzzy.

they've still never said what her family does or why she moved to the city so I'm guessing either they're good hearted country people who support going off to explore yourself or they're ex fashion designers/fashion enthusiasts who settled down after having kids. either way since there was no briefing I'm sure it'll be a warm welcome
