Thank you! I honestly have forgotten who she was...
I'm guessing sister or daughter of the chief. An elf who came to ask him to repair a mithril sword.
It was implied she's of fairly important position in elven community given the importance of the sword, so now we should get to learn what is her actual status is.
Too bad it's absolute nonsense, lmao. You can't fix sword that are bent like that just by hammering it out, because the stresses have definitely caused multiple fractures internally. Similarly, those shields are basically made of thin flat bars of metal hammered around a wooden shield frame, then affixed with studs; they may or may not be leather-faced. There's very little for a blacksmith to do, there. And lastly, they need an absolute metric ton of raw processed metal to affect these repairs for an entire army, too.Not often is the "behind the scenes" work of these kind of quests shown, so it's refreshing.
While you make strong, compelling arguments...Too bad it's absolute nonsense, lmao. At least the rest of it is fun, though.
I call out people nitpicking about manga logic when it's not the main theme of the series but in this case you're absolutely right, a manga about blacksmithing doing this or the thing with molds kills the immersion a bit. You can try to rationalize it by saying he's doing quick fixes to make weapons hold out until the expedition is over...Too bad it's absolute nonsense, lmao. It would be one thing if he was using bronze, but it's been clearly stated that he's using iron/steel.I call out people nitpicking about manga logic when it's not the main theme of the series but in this case you're absolutely right, a manga about blacksmithing doing this or the thing with molds kills the immersion a bit.
