Both should have wanted some physical activity as well, so that wasn't it, even thought she didn't like how her previous boyfriends apparently wanted it immediately (if they didn't want her to join some dubious cult first).

She probably expected him to lose his kind and caring facade and reveals an ugly personality soon because that's how her previous BFs turn out to be. It's just that it's proven to be wrong and he's actually not putting up a facade all this time and she's relieved that's the case and genuinely able to love him.
