It’s extremely funny how the mangaka can do 20+ chapters of basically dating between two characters, have everything promoting the series featuring them acting cute, but the second they get too close to actually dating they gotta pull some bullshit to keep the story going. Cause you know for a fact these stories end the moment they start dating.

Honestly think this is the series that’s opening my eyes to how piss poor writers most mangaka are.

You are pretty much 100% correct but, just to add, this series is up to ch29 right now and, holy fucking shit, it is worse than what you typed and might imagine.

I was a huge fan and defender of this series but it is absolute dogshit convenient disgusting what is happening in 28+29.

You call it piss poor writing but this is some of the most generic and trashiest at the worst timing with most disgusting forced character changes and interactions (she makes no sense and has no reason to flirt that much and MC is plain cringe suddenly) writing I have witnessed in any written medium, possibly ever.

Its extremely funny when you realize Tomo’s character shift directly contradicts the reason Ibuki feel in love with him in the first place. His ability to look past everything and see what’s actually going on has just been discarded. On a positive note it seems even the Japanese readers are getting annoyed too so maybe the author will just shift back. However I think this manga got a good 10 chapters left at best.
