Why do romcoms where the two leads are obviously 100% into each other even bother with love rivals (plural because it's always one for the boy and one for the girl)? What's the point of a love triangle that is already solved? To waste the readers' time?
Obviously this isn't that kind of manga so we don't have to worry about it but girlfriends get stolen (or lured away, if you prefer) all of the time, especially when they're not official. Wives too. There's an entire cursed genre for that.
