Honestly 2 years is not so bad...even if we did circle around the pond with some chapters...maybe 5? Take for example a Manga I like and recommend "The Girl I Like Forgot Her Glasses", that one took around 5 YEARS before a confession and even then an entire volume went by without them kissing (but lots of hugs, so it was still good).

Atleast ibuki realizes that tomo is not at fault. Im still a bit miffed that hes being called dense and ibukis not called out for her bhaviour and its a bit infuriating that only now she does the sure hit ko move of calling him cool(the one thing hes been looking for for years) but whatever, atleast we finally get a manga that continous after the main pair becomes a couple and they are quite cute together.

Now suddenly he didnt know?

I went back and reread the entire vol1 and start of vol2. Nothing happened in vol1 until she stayed over his place at the end of vol1. At the start of vol2, she asked him what she is to him, and that started everything. He was still dense for most of the series.
