I was worried since the romcom plot was pretty basic and a little cliché; but the comedy is actually great, the ML being so cringe it loops back to being hilarious is what will keep me reading

I love the nerd/jimiko aesthetic too, it's definitely top 5 and it ain't 5. But I'm also a sucker for twin tails so for me it's the best of both worlds.

I do appreciate that Hina is taking this super serious as well. She's admitted she's already tried going it alone and nothing came of it, so even though this whole arrangement is pretend (for now) she seems to understand there's no harm in throwing shit at the wall and making the most of it. There's something almost pragmatic about her attitude here, treating a fake relationship like a real experiment worth committing to. Like we see at the end of this chapter she's seems to have hit a block but she doesn't waste any time in wanting to ask Sano for help.

We saw a glimpse of it here but just like the shoujo protagonists that his idolises, Sano is gonna realise that he needs to believe in himself and what he's doing. Not to give up without really trying, like he just tried to "break up" with Hina before giving it a proper go. Watching him learn to actually commit, to sit with the discomfort of trying before deciding it won't work, will be an element of his growth.

I am tempted to actually read it chapter by chapter, it feels like stuff is actually happening, I lament that all too often Romcoms seems to have romance as a set dressing for jokes. The jokes are here, but things are happening too,they are a nice fake couple compared to others I have seen.
