I really dislike the trope/dynamic where the jealous rival/third party character is always talking shit to one of the characters right in front of their partner and they don't speak up to defend them. It doesn't matter if I respected that person and they were helping me out with a project like this, I'd be telling them off for how they were talking to the person I love. Like I'd be smacking this bitch if she kept calling my gf things like unnecessary, degenerate, foreign object, etc right in front of me.
