Thats not something to uncommon. Especially if the area has wild animals/monsters. Imagine you are a soldier and one of ypur allies gets hurt by a wild beast and needs immediate treatment, while one treats the injured, the others keep watch, and when something moves they prepare to attack.

This manga is secretly a HFY story. This is an easygoing story for the MC because living on Earth was basically Hell Mode compared to this new one. It's not too dissimilar to the 'Earth is Space Australia' meme. The chief difference is that this manga (eventually, subtly, and slowly) shows how the MC was messed up by his experiences, moreso than making him superpowered.
