I'm the synopsis it says the final devotee of the god. That human, the last true worshipper, died therefore leaving the god essentially nonexistent. It's a sort of a God places the king upon the throne but what's a God to a Non believer?

I get what you mean, but I don't think Japan gods work that way.
But I'm not Japanese, and everything I learned about Shinto has come from manga and anime, so I'm hardly an authority on it.
Btw, "A devotee greets his final hour, with the god of the land he served in life in attendance…".
Your 'final' got moved around, so there's every chance there's still more devotee/worshippers. Especially in Shinto.

Good point. Maybe she just yoinked him to the afterlife then. Idk. I liked the idea that she died with the believer as well tbh 😓
