I'm the synopsis it says the final devotee of the god. That human, the last true worshipper, died therefore leaving the god essentially nonexistent. It's a sort of a God places the king upon the throne but what's a God to a Non believer? You wouldn't think four pages could do that much damage. Testament to the artist, I guess.
@Shoeside last few seconds of the mans life. Once he died, the land god left. Can't tell if she took him or not, since it's out of shot in last panel. And if you were trolling, well played.
I get what you mean, but I don't think Japan gods work that way.I'm the synopsis it says the final devotee of the god. Good point. Maybe she just yoinked him to the afterlife then. Idk. I liked the idea that she died with the believer as well tbh 😓I get what you mean, but I don't think Japan gods work that way.
But I'm not Japanese, and everything I learned about Shinto has come from manga and anime, so I'm hardly an authority on it.
Btw, "A devotee greets his final hour, with the god of the land he served in life in attendance…".
Your 'final' got moved around, so there's every chance there's still more devotee/worshippers. Especially in Shinto.
