I look forward to the return to more regular slice of life, this entire arc has dragged on for far too long, and there clearly aren't any real stakes since nobody present is gonna give up on the male lead even if they lose.

The whole secret reason behind the competition was already revealed to be some arbitrary scheme that makes little sense, and was already resolved, so it really doesn't have much going for it. It's all just an excuse to have the heroines dress up in increasingly skimpy outfits and get beat up.

This all just feels pointless. No character growth is going to take place. No plot developments are going to happen.

It feels like the author desperately wants to turn this into a harem and is being held back by editorial or common sense or twitter feedback or something. It's weird the whole premise was the the male MC is a gigachad who is immune to tsundere antics but then he's too spineless to just give a straight up rejection to Jeanne.

Vanilla with Kannan, which is what we had for the first 50 chapters

Harem ending which was what Jeanne was proposing initially

NTR bs, which is what we started getting after we meet Kanan's family, and now all the other girls are trying to double down on it, Jeanne included...

Kyougi clearly was going for the vanilla option, but he keeps enabling and entertaining the third one, and cockteasing the second, so now, no one is happy with how the story is developing, specially because there's no way we end with the third one, and yet...

They were already doing that in the regular slice of life is the thing, minus the getting beat up part.

The tournament is taking up so many panels each chapter that there's very little room for actual characterization. And it's dumb.

I don't see it. There is only one path: Kanan. Everything else is fluff and gags.
Kyougi never entertained a harem and straight up refused when Valentine asked.
There's no "NTR" either. Miltie and Miel are siscons for Kanan, Lillum has some delusion, but got ignored when she tried testing him, Tekka made no moves ever since she lost the duel. Kyougi's frequent "lucky pervert moments" might create that impression, but they are just that: gags in a gag manga.
The only one "in the running" and only on the account of not being flat out rejected yet is Jeanne. Jeanne who spent the last 5 chapters bawling her eyes out because she couldn't steal Kyougi from Kanan while Kanan and Kyougi deepened their relationship and Kanan went out of her way to make a contract with Hanako so Kyougi can fulfill his promise.
In fact, for the past 30+ chapters Kyougi has paid next to no attention to any of the side girls and was focused entirely on Kanan and helping Hanako.
