Outright lying to him to string him along for all of this utter bullshit of a plotline? I was excited for him to finally learn about his own potential, but if it's like this it isn't worth reading
i get the part about national security, but my god can these ladies keep him in the loop and tell him how to act or not...like give him a crash course on what is common sense and what is not...i would have not mind it if mc was a normal sane person with common sense, but everytime i see this kid's self-depreciating thoughts, i'm like just tell this kid his valueSome "friends" huh. Granted, it's an issue of national security.
- "friend"
- lies about his true abilities

i mean that's the thing...teach him what he's supposed to do and what he's not supposed to do...like tell him you possess these powers, so these are the responsibilities you have and you can do this and you can't do thatIf you fully told him his unlimited potential. Especially, his two goody shoes, willpower and naivety would literally be in every "dangerous" (for others, not for him) situation every other time. Especially, the only thing that he needs to do now is visualisation and everything is done. Not all things are settled in strength especially if theres something that can still be done
Yeah definitely.. though there would be difficult choices for him. for example, saving his loved once vs his responsibility. There would be times that he shouldnt go but his unwavering goodness will push thru anyway But i suppose you can just go OP Magic and power of friendship saves the day.i mean that's the thing...teach him what he's supposed to do and what he's not supposed to do...like tell him you possess these powers, so these are the responsibilities you have and you can do this and you can't do that
In reality only like two people heard him say it and off-hand.What a load of bullshit... The whole clueless thing gets old real fast, and now they are actively gaslighting the kid into believing he is normal.
Not only that, but if they are doing this as a matter of national security, why the fuck is no one looking into his village? He said himself multiple times that those things are NORMAL in the village he came from, isn't that enough of a red flag already to at least send a scout to look into it? For fuck sake...
I guess that is a drop for me, both anime and manga.
