besides, he did not know she was cheatin on him, so nothing was out of spite or resentment, he just did...
and while I find the situation super contrived, I don't fault her as much as him, cuz you don't get suspicious of being cheated like that out of nothing unless you are paranoid.
there is also the classic 'it's a harem story' and every contrivance will work in favor of haremdom, but they could've started it a bit more lightly and less polemic. Mcs girlfriend is already super funky with her harem scheme and chart XD
To be fair, most cases of cheating irl doesn't make sense as well.
I was confused with the flow of the story just now. Progression would have felt more natural if chapters 5.1 and 5.2 were reversed in order. It would have made a better transition from 4.2. But this is just how the author wanted it I guess.

Aaaanyway, this guy seems to be trying to get caught cheating, maybe he wants her to break it off for some convoluted reason, why else would he act openly affectionate on the road she takes out of work.

The irony is strong with this chapter... She can't walk straight, but she is upset that her BF is cheating on her.... Such a strange "story beat" to follow. It seems like author-san was trying, and failing, to inject some drama into the story... Best stick to drawing big tits, rather than trying to expand this story past the obvious.
