I think the world needs a service of nice men in uniform, whom one might call for assistance to remove a stranger that is illegally trespassing on one's property — in fact, I think such a service should be provided by the state from taxes, and they might in fact be used as well to enforce the law, as written, in the general case.

I like this idea — why rely on the citizen's willingness to follow the law by his own volition, if he might be compelled to do so by a state-funded department?
