Every character is a retard. Special props to the ex for being a cunt.
"I could tell you my side of the story and why I did what I did but I'd rather be ambiguous and prolong this shit, make everyone who I claim to like as miserable as possible, because the moment I tell the truth this series is dead."
I focus on her 'cause she's the most egregious but pretty much everyone is a sociopath.
Writing is hard but this author didn't even try.

I'm continuing reading this purely because i want to know how author would fk over ayaka. I would make too much sense to pair mc and ayaka in the end. I wouldn't be surprised if he would go back to reina. It's not first time this kinds of stories end in most rarted way possible.

Depending on your viewpoint, the MC is either an asshole or an amazing harem guy for juggling multiple girls.

Also: MC is not a good person. He is, in my opinion cheating while dating his ex as well. He being nice and kind to any girls, he would have hang out 1 on 1 with his female friends while already in a relationship multiple times. Did people just ignore this? This is what he does. I wouldn’t be surprised if his ex purposely did what she did so MC knows what it feels like to be cheated on.

MC is kind? This kind of "kindess" of his will end up hurting everyone around him. So indecisive knowing people have feelings for him but not willing to commit to anyone. Is he kind, not wanting to hurt anyone? Or is he just enjoying juggling girls around him?

As with some people, I agree with the plot as I've enjoyed this matured connection with people specially with Ayaka. And the lack of communication gap is also relatable shows us how the world operates (heck even I have a communication gap with my in charge at work).

Idk man the latest chapter is kinda like trying to cover up your mistakes, which is pretty much returded in first place. If you were really willing to be honest, you should have talked about it with him openly way before this breakup happened and not him being the one having to take such steps.

Cheating sucks man and being on the receiving end is worst thing one would experience.

You have no idea what you're talking about. This isn't ecchi. This isn't a rom com. If you had those expectations, yeah it might be better if you stop reading. This is an actual mature story with real characters.
if romcoms are romance comedies, then this manga is a romcom, look at the tags on the title page for the manga if you don't believe me

I started reading the manga, the art is very good, the plot seemed nice and the characters (Ayaka and Mayu are just... adorable) too, even the mc… so, I hit chapter 13 (last released at that point), and how I was very curious, I needed to check if there were any other chapters or novels, so after searching, on why she cheated, the story seemed "Eh... ok."
The reason of the incidents that happened kinda makes sense for their age, but man… People really need to learn how to talk – For what I could get, she didn't really cheat on him, it was a very stupid jealous induced misunderstanding. Her friend Natusiki (Yep, that girl of the mixer is not hitting on him), said it was strange that he expends so much time with his friend and in the eyes of everyone, HE WAS CHEATING ON HER WITH AYAKA, and then she's starting acting cold and weird around him.
Until we see her point of view of things, it does seem like she's a total cheater… But, she actually seems to really like him... It's difficult to cheer for her tho, 'cuz we see her as a villain since the beginning and the other two are away more interesting at this point, but they did seem to be really cute together, until Reina started to being aware of Ayaka as someone more special to Yuta than herself, and basically that's why she didn't say anything when he asked to break up. Ah, the holding hand's thing, right… It was someone from a beauty pageant that would occur in the university, she declined the invite, but the guy kept insisting, and she didn't talk with Yuta, cuz they're in an odd situation at the time, being jealous and so on... So, instead of talking with Yuta, she decided to just cold shoulder him for a month or so to decide what to do, but some rumors started to appear that she would break up with him, that's why some people started talking about that in his club, and that pageant guy, started to hit on her, but she wanted to see if it was really possible to be only friends with someone of the opposite sex... Guess what? The guy started hitting on her, and he held her hand, she decided to try and see how would it feel to hold someone else hands instead of Yuta, and thinking if it was okay for he and Ayaka could go out (not dates, but people said that what's looked like), she kept thinking about Yuta, and shove the hand of the guy out, but that was away past the point that Yuta sees them in front of his house what she only noticed after shoving the guy hand away. In short... Prepare for a 3 girl story, cuz for what I got, she's not giving up, cuz she also could not stop thinking about him for the whole time, the posts she did, the hair color change and so on was trying to fill the void that breaking up left on her, well, until they met again.
crap, missunderstanding/bad comunitaction... cant help, but he really should no "toy" with the c.firend or the corrai.

MC's ex:
"I didn't cheat on you. I just started avoiding you while going on dates with other men and deliberately walking hand in hand with them in front of your home so that you'd find out about it. That's not cheating."

What is this shit?

Reading the other comment here that spoiled the reasoning for Reina's cheating, yeah, everyone is a sociopath in this shit

Natsuki just as much as Reina "I'm going to convince you your boyfriend is cheating on you when he isn't and then treat him like shit for breaking up with you" is absolutely crazy

Also why the fuck is the way Reina explains herself "So when I 'cheated' on you, I totally meant it, it was because I wanted to, I was totally 100% doing it on purpose and aware of what I was doing and also I feel zero guilt about it" when the actual situation was "I was jealous of you and your friend being close so I just wanted to test and see if having a close relationship with another guy would be okay to send if I could be okay with you hanging out with her"

Like those two things are not even remotely the same, she literally only phrases it like that to make the reader hate her more so when her reasoning is revealed later it's a bigger twist

Problem is if you make the reader hate a character enough, no amount of explaining their reasoning or reconning will undo it

Like, the fact that the author showed the way her brain works is 'if I hang out with another guy with full romantic intentions and hold hands with him fully knowing it's romantic and aware that it's crossing a line, it's not cheating' then later explaining that wasn't the situation doesn't just change the fact that we now know her brain works that way

I'm honestly more mad at myself for actually getting worked up about this. It's annoying because occasionally the stuff it says about cheating/getting cheated on actually checks out and is good. Like this most recent chapter, "if you have to ask yourself if it counts as cheating, that's probably how you know it's cheating" checks out

Then like 4 panels later the character who said that says "oh there were extenuating circumstances so it's fine actually" and it just sucks. It's walking all of that stuff back just so it can try to complicate this romcom plot more.

Like yeah the reality is relationship stuff in real life isn't super black and white and honestly if a relationship ends over holding hands with someone for 1.5 seconds and then immediately changing your mind, it wasn't a good relationship in the first place, like if they had a good relationship they would have said more than 6 words to each other when they broke up. No breakup happens that abruptly unless the people dating really just don't communicate at all. And if you aren't communicating why are you even dating in the first place.

But like. This is a story and the situation itself isn't realistic enough for me to feel like it's doing the 'relationships aren't black and white' well enough for this kind of insane behavior to be worth reading.

Also Natsuki just sucks so bad. Seriously, she gets the two characters to break up, then gets mad at one of them for breaking up. Like if the genders were swapped it'd be just as bad. She's just a genuinely horrible person.

Ahhh all this is so dumb it's just a manga and it's bad so it doesn't even deserve all the attention I'm giving it. I'm mostly just frustrated at myself for getting tricked by it into thinking it had anything going for it.

Perfectly summarized my thoughts. I was enjoying this as it is because it was shaping out to be more than just a standard slop romance, but it's just executed in a manner that feels forced with only one character having a chance at winning. Very disappointing that it turned out this way.

I've heard a lot of negative opinions about this series that the girl cheats on the MC, but I'm not sure in what way whether it's kissing, sex, or some other form of betrayal.
I've also heard that another girl, I think her name was (Mayu), cheats on her boyfriend by getting close to the MC.
That's why I'd prefer to ask before I start reading.
Could someone please give me short descriptions of the main characters and their main faults/motivations?
Thank you in advance to anyone who replies.

Ayaka, to me, is an extremely stupid person in this story. She has feelings for the guy, doesn't say anything, and occasionally tries to impose certain boundaries. She could have won him over years ago, but because she likes to maintain this facade of being everyone's friend, when it's impossible to have many true friends, she ended up drowning in her own stupidity.

In the chapter about the party where her friend was extremely nervous about the call, she simply went drinking with a bunch of strangers instead of trying to comfort him like a true friend and someone who cares.

But the other characters are also not above such stupidity and craziness.

what absolute trash plot. This is way too realistic in some respects and way too stupid in other respects. Its 100% clear that mc and ayaka are into each and their relationship is quite problematic if yuuta was in a relationship. There were zero boundaries set. Wow so many red flags everywhere with the other characters. Im on the ayaka ship too.
