The titles sus, wonder what I've been summoned here to consume...
Why hello new Yuri, are you ready to be ready and analyzed? Barely cause I'm still working on my analysis skills? Great so am I, let's get into it...
I get the feeling it's not gonna be very pure for some reason...

Hm... Okay I've a better grasp of the situation, there aren't many other explanations when you see girls kissing aside from their just together added with them living together, kissing in public though descrit as well though I don't think we can rule out something more complicated and something without a label, though that doesn't mean explain her behavior
It looks to me like our emotional cheater wanted a kiss, her girlfriend though relectant does give in, I'm not getting the vibe the relationship is very healthy to begin with, especially not so with the sus behavior with the mc, there's definitely something deeper going on with their relationship...
WAIT SHE WAS CRYING, WHAT DID YOU DO TO HER EMOTIONAL CHEATER!?? Oh it's sticking its stuck

Okay I was gonna say emotional cheater may have just been acting weird, like it's nothing sinister that's just who she is... Then she took her top off and... Yeah that pretty bad, I predict she's a womanizer, she gets with amany woman from the sexual relations and ditches them when she gets bored
I know I'm right I'm always right
Ehhh... Suppose she's still some plausible deniability but it's still hella sus
Hm... Maybe their relationship is fragile? Still going off not much information, can't make good conclusions
I require more
I'll wait for more

Have a good day

I have a weak spot for shy MCs so I already love Haijima. How bold is Aomi, huh?

Thanks for the chapter.

The art is gorgeous, but I've never read a series that beats up my suspension of disbelief quite like this. Everything that comes out of these characters' mouths makes zero sense, every little thing they do makes zero sense. Not trying to be mean, but I feel like if there was ever a plot and dialogue written by an alien who found out last minute that the characters are supposed to act and talk like human beings, this is what it would read like.

It's just the first chapter, but idk what was confusing about it? Plot wise not a lot has happened yet, and we're getting introduced to the characters, but nothing they said or did was confusing?
I'm not the person you asked, but I did find the characters to be immersion-breakingly silly at a few points. I'm not confused by the plot or character's motivations, but I am a little confused as to why they feel like they're written to be so obviously what the plot requires them to be... which I'll assume for now is due to my own unfamiliarity with genre conventions:

Aomi comes across as such a blatantly insincere and unwarrantedly self-assured playboy/PUA that I literally laughed in disbelief at her deeply-searching expression on page eight. Contrast this with Haijima who's so pure that none of the right alarms seem to be going off in her head. It's the kind of purity or lack of awareness that's normally affected as a persona, so it's weird when the story gives us insight* and we learn that there's not much more going on inside that head of hers. Or when Aomi locks onto Haijima's living situation and the mask slips momentarily revealing an identical face behind it.

Normally, I wouldn't care, but when the implied nature of the work suggests that we're going to spend a lot of time in Haijima's head questioning Aomi's intentions, having the characters feel so "flattened to archetypes and then stretched back into three dimensions" doesn't inspire a ton of confidence. It's not a dealbreaker or anything, but I found it keeping me from really taking things seriously or engaging emotionally.

I'm reading this because the second chapter popped up in Latest Updates and I'm trying to broaden my horizons a bit, so it could totally be the case that I'm just "yuri-illiterate" and won't find it weird once I have more context.** But when I caught myself thinking "Seriously, the teacher who you're right in front of and alone with didn't notice you being fed the answer or call out the flirting?" I realized that kind of nitpicking rarely happens if the story's catching me.

So there's my very serious answer to your likely-rhetorical question, written mostly to help me make sense of my impression of this.

* specifically Haijima calling Aomi out in the gazebo for teasing her, revealing that she does have a line
** also starting that dirtbag x simpleton photography yuri for now

Not at all. I was too lazy and busy to type everything that bugged me with this one, but I basically felt the exact same way about everything you typed and more, specially the scene with the teacher. Reading it pissed me off.

The thing is I actually read nothing but yuri, but I am very picky about it. Most yuri fans are not, because the amount of works we get is pretty limited so slop is usually well tolerated.
