An entire chapter dedicated to glamorizing AV in order to "awaken" Kaori's interest in AV... sigh.
The thing that bothers me the most is that the author is using Saori's circumstances that are surreal and totally outside the main reason why people do AV. People do AV because of money, that's it.
I'm very curious to see if the author will continue with the glamorization of AV or if she will also show the truth about doing AV to Kaori:

FFS, there have been interviews of women in that industry that paint their experience as the worst decision they made and others that say they wouldn't undo it even if they had the opportunity. Girl is literally watching a single person's interview giving her own experience. That does not immediately equate to "oh, I guess porn is all sunshine and rainbows then"
Part of writing is doing research and it would not be surprising if Jyura literally spoke to people in the industry.
Also, "Oh, nerd boy cheated on her so now she's going to make a dumb choice out of depression" isn't the only take either. Maybe you can look at it as her wanting to become an idol because her self image was damaged when her BF was stolen by a more attractive woman, and getting people's attention is how she wants to rebuild it. Maybe she's looking at the possibility of getting into AV as proof that she is actually sexually attractive.

Yep, that's the gist of it. The author is using Saori's peculiar circumstances to glamorize doing AV for Kaori and the readers.
Saori, a refined lady from a distinguished family, feels oppressed by her family and decided to do AV so she wouldn't have to be forced into an arranged marriage. Basically, she wants her family to find out that she does AV through someone else and apparently, she wants a potential fiancé to identify her. Obviously Kaori doesn't know all this. Kaori, an insecure girl with a sense of inferiority associated with Yoshioka (even though she won the contest for Takeru), seeing a distinguished lady like Saori doing AV and looking so happy while doing it, must be making Kaori think, "Wow! doing AV must be incredible! I'm really curious about AV!".
The question is: Does this all work? Not for me. Even though this is classified as Erotica, it's all so implausible that it breaks my suspension of disbelief.
