Hmm. It's interesting how Yoshioka's manager handled telling Hidaka that he's hindering her career—both subtle and not so subtle at the same time. If I'm not mistaken, he gave Hidaka ten 10,000-yen notes, which, as of 2025-03-03 at 18:42:27 UTC, is roughly 666 US dollars. I’m not sure how much that amounts to in Japan, but it’s a decent sum in my currency.

Also, it's funny how the author keeps repeatedly telling us that Kaori is a pervert, since that was one of the justifications given for why she's working at an AV production company. She can repeat it all she wants, but I still find it contrived.

It seems to me that once an author reaches a certain level of success—meaning a solid number of sales—editors shift their role from guiding and refining the work to merely supporting whatever the author produces, acting more like enablers than anything else.
