And what do you even think Talent means?
Talent is natural aptitude to learn or improve a skill with far less effort than those who do not have "talent."

This, on the other hand, has absolutely nothing to do with talent. This is literally just about how much raw power you happened to have been born with.

Being talented with magic would mean inherently having a grasp on how it works and finding using it far easier than normally. The issue is that the lack of "talent" they talk about here is the lack of raw power instead of lacking talent in using it.

so we have gunpowder yet nobody thinking about using it to push metal ball into enemy ? I mean if melee is useless toward those hero then several sound of barrage will definitely annoyed him anyway :)))
Early western gunpowder was known for its short range, inaccuracy, constant "random" explosions (mostly caused by misuse, but you just couldn't have the right conditions to properly use them during war so they were just bound to happen) and not particularly strong at penetrating armored enemies. With what we've seen so far, heroes clearly have a far higher energy output than an early bayonet would have. Did you forget how the swing of the sword of a hero just blasted everything in front of him in the early chapters?

The way he get angry over the use of gunpowder on him kinda reminds me of Tales of Destiny's Barbatos. A very memorable boss who gets especially triggered when you use an item while fighting him

That's a very narrow definition you have here.
I will point out to you that by that definition, most gold medal athletes are not talented people.
Usain Bolt wasn't a talented person by your standarts, he just had "raw power"

Sports is the worst possible analogy you could have picked in order to try to support your argument.

Usain Bolt and all of the top athletes have had to train like crazy and hone themselves to become masters of their craft. They have competition, and the gap between the top 5 while measurable, is narrow. It's a gap that can be crossed by dedication and training.

Meanwhile the situation here is that in a completely regular weightlifting competition in our own world, Superman walks in, bench presses a building and then the 2nd place winner is told that they simply lack talent.

Yes, they do literally simply lack talent.

Why does he complain about resistance being weak if he attacked them when their main force is out?
