Talent is natural aptitude to learn or improve a skill with far less effort than those who do not have "talent."And what do you even think Talent means?
Early western gunpowder was known for its short range, inaccuracy, constant "random" explosions (mostly caused by misuse, but you just couldn't have the right conditions to properly use them during war so they were just bound to happen) and not particularly strong at penetrating armored enemies. With what we've seen so far, heroes clearly have a far higher energy output than an early bayonet would have. Did you forget how the swing of the sword of a hero just blasted everything in front of him in the early chapters?so we have gunpowder yet nobody thinking about using it to push metal ball into enemy ? I mean if melee is useless toward those hero then several sound of barrage will definitely annoyed him anyway))
That's a very narrow definition you have here.Talent is natural aptitude to learn or improve a skill with far less effort than those who do not have "talent."
This, on the other hand, has absolutely nothing to do with talent. This is literally just about how much raw power you happened to have been born with.
Being talented with magic would mean inherently having a grasp on how it works and finding using it far easier than normally. The issue is that the lack of "talent" they talk about here is the lack of raw power instead of lacking talent in using it.
Sports is the worst possible analogy you could have picked in order to try to support your argument. That's a very narrow definition you have here.
I will point out to you that by that definition, most gold medal athletes are not talented people.
Usain Bolt wasn't a talented person by your standarts, he just had "raw power"
Yes, they do literally simply lack talent.Sports is the worst possible analogy you could have picked in order to try to support your argument.
Usain Bolt and all of the top athletes have had to train like crazy and hone themselves to become masters of their craft. They have competition, and the gap between the top 5 while measurable, is narrow. It's a gap that can be crossed by dedication and training.
Meanwhile the situation here is that in a completely regular weightlifting competition in our own world, Superman walks in, bench presses a building and then the 2nd place winner is told that they simply lack talent.
It's just what a war is. Some people are defending their country, some are fighting for other objectives, each one has it's own reason to bear arms, heck, some are just battle freaks (the MC is in there not for wanting to survive, but to fight). From what I saw up to now in this manga, the reincarnating, genderbender and whatnot are all subplots, this manga is about the action and whatever plot there is, it's purpose will only be to take the MC to the next fight. A truly shounen classic. But I'm a bit wary of the adaptation tag though.Um, isn't the empire supposed to be the bad guy here? Since it was described as a hostile nation that attacks other nations in chapter 2. But the hero from the enemy side is acting like a saturday morning cartoon villain too? So there's no 'good' side at all?
the thing is being talented can also refer to "raw power", physique and other things not just skill. Some people are "gifted" in the fact that they might gain raw strength or magic easier than others, that is also a talent. Unless you are saying that everyone if they follow the exact same routine would always get the same outcome? I highly doubt that seeing how some people might train hard but barely see results while others could train moderately but get better results.Talent is natural aptitude to learn or improve a skill with far less effort than those who do not have "talent."
