Man, the storytelling in this manga… I just don’t see the connection between what Yoshioka says in this chapter and the events of the previous one. She saw Hidaka taking money from her manager, and now, out of nowhere, she wants him to take care of Kaori? What does she mean? That she wants them to get back together? Kaori dumped his ass because he cheated… with you, Yoshioka. "I'll always be waiting for you." Waiting for what? Waiting until he gets into medical school? Waiting until he becomes a doctor? Waiting until he gets married and has kids with Kaori? None of this makes any sense.

i'm seriously questioning this author's storytelling skills, especially after Kaori's arc. What even was that? It felt so disconnected from the rest of the series. And now, after getting bad reviews from the readers, he decided to go back to the main characters, but they’re acting like some Oblivion NPCs.

Yoshioka looks like a natural born porn star, but she is actually a sincere person who’s just trying to make it on her own, because she thinks Kaori and Hidaka are the destined couple. Kaori dumped Hidaka and headed down the road to porn, because she thinks Hidaka prefers the porn star type. Hidaka is simple-minded, unfaithful, and apparently not smart enough to become a doctor. In short, he’s the problem. Truck-kun would be doing this guy (and all of us) a favor. Maybe he could transmigrate as a wise sage in a different world. Maybe.

Welp, as expected of ntr artists. This is why ntr is very famous that feeling of somebody being taken from you, doesn't matter if you're in a relationship or not. Whether it's friend, childhood friend, or just classmate, as long as there's some form of connection between the two, it's enough to make readers feel cucked. So looks like our boy lost both of them for now. Most likely gonna chase after Kaori, in the meantime while the other pursues modeling. If this is going typical doujinshi style, the author would most likely corrupt one or both of the women while the mc despair, maybe kaori is gonna get convinced to try AV, or maybe somehow get back together with MC while she hides the fact that she works in av company, then make the mc find out accidentally to make us feel cucked, or something along those scenarios because that's what this is all about. Damn, it's really amazing how this genre is very effective and I can sort of understand the appeal because it stirs emotions. Even if you hate it, you still anticipate the next chapters.

The longer it’s dragged out, the higher the bar gets, and without knowing, it’s hard to empathize.

2. Yoshioka Decided to Be Hidaka’s Side Chick behind Kaori’s Back cuz she loved the Feel of it all
3. Kaori Didn’t know that her BFwas getting Booty Calls from her BFF
4. Hidaka & Yoshioka were like a pair of well oiled machines with constant Piston Pumping action behind kaori’s back while Kaori struggled to move her relationship to the next level

okk i might be wrong but i think i think the implication of this is that bc she saw the mc being given money and him not giving it back, she implied it as he wants to her to be an idol. thats why she said she can't date him, which does make sense cus in the idol industry, it is heavily aggressive that idols don't date. and it explains why in the present she is working towards being an idol. but in this chap bc she doesn't actually tell him her true feelings, shes a total dumbass.

Ironically with the mc, hes also a complete dumbass for not telling her his real feelings, but he's been consistent with just taking the inital response and moving on. he assumes she wants to become an idol and he just goes ok. When the other girl told him that they're over, he litterally said ok and went to the other girl.

At this point, just be a three way couple.

and also, the mc has a conversation with her manager with him telling him he has to convince her to go back and become an idol, and then 5 minutes after when hes walking back with her, she tells him she wants to become an idol, wouldn't you find that suspicious how convinent that worked out. For a guy trying to be a doctor, he's a complete dumbass.

My best guess is that the end of this chapter, which seems to be what commenters are pointing to as the Eva reference , is somewhat reminiscent of a scene in ep 5 of Eva where Shinji is going about his day when finds Rei naked at home and then proceeds to majestically fall on top of her in a position similar to Hidaka and Yoshioka.

That and they say Hidaka is similar to Shinji in some ways.

I could be totally off base though. It could be some obscure reference to 3rd party material too.
