If seriously asking, there was a timeskip. Short hair is the FMC (original gf who he cheated on) from the first part (until 72). Seems like she didn't end up with MC even with how 72 ended (she said she is single now). Other woman is a rando AV actress we just got to know.

For now it seems like the author is gonna pull a reverse UNO and after the breakup force changed her randomly into brainmush stupid to have her act in AV/porn which will then be seen by MC. Probably the weakest way to get back at him, meh. Think some other "ha! in your face!" would've had infinitely more impact than changing her randomly and having her do porn. Sadly reads like the most generic writing ever.

I'm trying to grasp where the author is going with the introduction of Saori into the story... Kaori has no reason to do AV so it seems to me that all of this was just to put Kaori in contact with Saori. There is also the issue of Kodan Productions, which has been in the story since chapter 23 and wants to manage Kaori as an idol. As Kodan Productions does not manage Yoshioka, there would be no reason to have introduced them into the story if they were not going to manage Kaori.

That’s a good point, and maybe that’ll be her conflict this arc seeing as how the next 2 chapters seem to be about warming her up to the idea of doing one.

Would be interesting if her arc runs sort of counter to her boyfriend who eventually succumbed and cheated, while she stays true to her dream. I still doubt it though cause I don’t have that much faith in this manga, but it would make for an interesting twist.
