I can understand why he's taking part in the competition but why is he being so weak willed about it? The thing I hate the most about manga is the fact MCs tend to be pussies, at least when it comes to women.

On one hand idiotic behaviour and stupid premises exist so that most of those mangas can happen. Cause without them most of those authors couldn't create jack shit or stuff would be single chapter stories that would make sense. But it still makes it a chore to read.

Like your girl was stolen by a fucking girl? This means she never loved you for real - so fuck her - move on. She didn't show you any sign of being forced to do it or anything so no use in wasting your time.

The girl that stolen your GF asks you to have a contest with her - to see if she can make you fall for her? She is a psycho - there is plethora of possibilities why she does this and frankly non of them make it good. Even if she did this cause she loves you - doing it the way she did means she has a screw lose or two. Not worth it.

So the only sane thing to do is tell the "new girl" to fuck off, forget the GF and move on. Manga could still exist - MC finding a new girl and the duo of the bitches regretting their actions and/or trying to apologize/fix the stuff could be fun.

But I already spoilered myself and thus I know this will be a shit show. In a lot of other mangas where MC is hurt - he still forgives the psychos and ends up with one or all of them. Maybe I don't read enough of manga - but the only fucked up MC ending with a different girl and all psychos crying that I thus far read was Nyanta and Pomeko, thou that one had a bit worse things happening to MC than just a GF being stolen.

Let me take a wild guess. The new girl knew the guy from before, typically childhood friend where they promised to marry or he helped her in some way (she mentioned him being like a hero in this chapter, that's probably a chekov's gun), she is afraid of all guys, specially drunk ones (could go with a tragic backstory of a drunk father or something like that) so she always surrounded herself with girls, but she likes the MC.

The former girlfriend actually likes the MC too, but she wasn't as innocent as she looked, the new girl found out and blackmailed her to stay away from the guy she likes. They agreed on that 1 month bet as well, if the guy remained "loyal" to the former girlfriend after a month, even after she dumped him like that, it means he would accept everything about her.

And what's wild is how he's only mad at this girl but not Ena, wasn't it her that broke up with him?? Even if FMC "stole" her from him, that was clearly a 2-way street, so the fact that he feels zero resentment towards Ena is wild to me

The girl's excuse was she's the one being approached by the old GF, the old GF's feeling already falter --so much so that she prefers someone she only knows for a month to her four months relationship, and she can only approach MC now that he's single.
