"I know you borrowed money from Chizuru!"

Sigh.
Such disappointing development and here I thought we would get some plot with twists and turns for once but no it was not meant to be.
Also @Chef762 lol so cruel, yet so ironically fitting, if only that was the case.

FYI, I know Wikipedia says hojicha is not steamed but it’s not true. It is first steamed, dried and then roasted. The simple description is: Hojicha is a japanese green tea that has been roasted.

Red Storm has a pretty decent harem without it being too r/niceguys. And the women get along with each other.

Also there's Risou no Himo Seikatsu. It's a very slow burn until we actually get to harem bits though (like Light Novel Volume 6/7 I think, manga isn't anywhere close yet).

Neither are ecchi at all - in fact you don't even see kissing in Red Storm, but all the men have multiple wives (because so many men die in wars, there's way more women than there are men, and also a need for many children to replace all the ones who die).

The amount of harems I like can be counted on one hand. And if I like a harem, it's despite the fact that it's a harem. The only harem I can say I genuinely liked is like Grisaia, because at least that motherfucker earned it. There are some others out there but nothing I could confidently say I liked as I can with Grisaia.

I'm reading Risou no Himo Seikatsu and it's okay, certainly better than 70% of the trash isekai out there but I doubt making a harem is a good idea or will improve it. I could easily see it end up being another Re:Monster or "insert generic isekai harem here". And before any half wit starts bitching about how great Re:Monster is, read the 350+ chapters of LN and then come back to me. It's a poor man's Overlord with an especially butchered version of Ainz as a protagonist.

yeah I mean, the most interesting premise to me was the relationship between the MC and his queen wife in Risou, but unfortunately there's waaay too much politics in it. That said, the girl who is going to become one of his new wives is pretty OK. she has her own distinct personality, which is cool.

we can't expect too much out of LNs, the majority of these are coming from people who are not professional authors.

Well, with Risou, one of the primary things is about the politics, so you can't really get away from it. It's similar to Madan no Ou to Vanadis (the novel, in particular) where it focuses a lot on the strategy of battles and the politics. But the relationship building stuff with the majority of the harem members is actually still pretty darn good. Perhaps this is something you should take a look at?

Other harem series I can think of that is actually good is:
Rokujouma no Shinryakusha (Heroines interactions are great and get a long well with each other. MC is great. Licensed.)
Unlimited Fafnir (MC clearly wants all of the heroines and works for it to keep it that way)
Tate no Yuusha (Clear harem and is story is completed)
Campione (Clear harem and story is completed)
Legion Chronicles (Same author as Campione. Story is completed.)
A Realist’s Kingdom Reform Chronicles (Licensed and is a bit heavy on politics and kingdom development)

Also heard good things about Mushoku Tensei. Unfortunately, the majority lack or don't have great manga adaptations or so far behind.

As for strictly manga stuff, perhaps:
Nectar of Dharani (Clearly harem.)
Kono Shima ni wa Midara de Jaaku na Mono ga Sumu (Actually, this is terrible. But the art is damn delicious. The author, she really should just make more ero doujins, lol)
Rosario to Vampire (Starts out pretty damn bad but by the end, the art and story improves to the point you don't recognize it anymore. Very, very shounen.)

That's all I have as I don't typically read harem manga.
