I hope this turns out to be an incredibly powerful weapon that he uses on the King that ends up killing him. Hopefully he won't be so stupid to give it to the king BEFORE he removes the slave brand from the hero. Honestly getting rid of the whole castle wouldn't be that bad since the princess is okay with the hero being her toy anyway

I'm surprised the guards aren't a little more sympathetic given that the king's cut off pretty much any chance of him to get out without a miracle.

We, the audience, know the miracle's gonna happen, but still, how anyone wouldn't feel sympathetic after seeing that court scene

Yeah, and if this were the typical knights of keeping their words and values true, I'm surprised they're still heckling protag. They just saw their king break his promise and oath, what's stopping him now from breaking theirs?

Hopefully we'll see more repercussions from someone else, this really brings the king's credibility down by a lot.

I honestly want to know what would happen if they just... told everyone. What the king has done. You dont even need to include the summoning, just say "The King kidnapped 3 children and forced two of them to be the heroes. The main hero he put a slave bracelet on in exchange for letting #3 leave, only to send assassins after him anyway. He has since attempted to use the heroes as assassins to kill a peaceful neighboring monarch. Upon #3 returning with an item the king needed, and the king saying he'll grant ANY wish, after #3 asked for his friend to be released from slavery (And 90% of the court agreeing with him) The king said no, and attempted to send #3 to his death, interrupting a profitable business for the kingdom in the process"
Like, the heroes are supposed to be national celebrities, and the king already isn't popular. What would the general population do if they found out the king has done all this to well loved heroes?

The king clearly lacks some media literacy. Sending a person with a unique skillset into a highly dangerous area is the number 1 best way to make them stronger quickly. What a fool

The king underestimate Sakurai too much because he was a healer. He already avoided his assassination scheme, travel far into the demon continent and come back alive to him. That just shows he's not your ordinary healer.
