As much as I like this, I wish less yuri stories went out of their way to...disrespect (I guess) men in order to extol girl love. The guy is not totally innocent, but I think he at least deserves some kind clean and clear breakup. Yet FemC has no problem dragging her heels on that, and that isn't okay either.

I would say the boy is himself a victim of peer pressure, the only reason the 2 of them got together. His "guilt" is not realizing that, deluding himself there was something more and trying to forcefully kiss her at the beginning, not realizing she was extremely uncomfortable with that.
