I also like how the author handled it! Not only the situation itself, but also how they handled introducing a new character in a way that seems natural. Having Madoka be part of the group that discovers Waguri's secret makes the character significant to the plot, and an event like that was bound to happen. Everything everything seems natural in my opinion! Great writing!
