They ran through the process so fast, it was simpler to just call each other Mommy and Daddy rather than introduce first names!

In Asian cultures. It’s just normal to call each other mom and dad once you have a kid.

I've always appreciated that despite the name "Teasing master" Takagi, it's not her setting up elaborate ruses and instead it's Nishikata hoisting his own petard by being overconfident or overthinking things. He also occasionally gets one up on her. It feels less like bullying (where certain other "teasing" series do) and more like two peers playing with each other.
